Well, after I posted I read the FAQ section on front sights, the types offered by Hunter Arms Co in 1939, and where replacements can be found--which I should of done before posting. I tried to edit my post but could not figure out how to do so. So now by question is does anyone know if the (large) white bead front sight the restoration co. installed on my barrels is similar any of the 3 or 4 listed in the FAQ section regarding front sights? Perhaps the restoration co. knew more about this than I thought.
