I have a nagging question concerning snap caps & the L. C. Smith shotgun. L. C. Smith locks have V springs as opposed to coil springs. In the collective's opinion, is it necessary to relieve the lock's spring tension vis-a-via snap caps, or, can you store your L. C. Smith for extended periods with the locks cocked?
