Yes. If you know a competent gunsmith you trust you can let him do it, or you can do it yourself. I'm sure there're instructions on this website that tell you how to do it. If you consider doing it yourself (or even taking it to a competent gunsmith--they make mistakes too which are often difficult or impossible to undo) here are four cautions: 1. Make sure the gun is unloaded and cocked before you remove the forearm. 2. Have the gun on a well padded surface--I like a carpeted floor--the gun cannot fall anywhere. 3. Use only gunsmith quality sloted screw drivers--Grace Tool Co., screwdrivers, for example, and, perhaps most important, 4.If the gun appears to be in its orginal untouched factory condition I would not attenot to remove the wooden forearm just to see if its serial number matches the gun--you could accidently damage a screw slot and destroy or severly diminish the gun's collectors vaule.
