A while back I got my 2E L C Smith back from Brad Bachelder's Gun Shop. Brad and Channing took two old L C Smiths of mine, plus some of their parts, and put them together to make one good clay target shooting machine. The 2E frame was from the 1890s or so and the 32 inch 12 gauge barrels were from about 1925 or so. I cannot wait to shoot this shotgun. It looks good and feels good swinging it on Doves from my back porch. Brad can take a set of barrels from a FIELD grade and mate them to your A2. The engraver can make the barrels look exactly correct. Find a good set of field barrels that are "close" to fitting and have Brad put them on your frame. Try to find barrels that are a little to big for your frame. I will get some pictures of this project posted soon. Good Shooting To You, Jent .......Since I posted this report a while back in time I have shot this restored L C Smith several hundred times and it shoots great and functions great. I am very sure that Brad B could do the same for your grade 3 L C Smith. Jent
