L.C. Smith Specialty Trap Archived Message

I have an L.C. Smith Specialty Trap 12Ga. single-barrel shotgun. The shotgun has a 32" ventilated rib barrel with two (2) white (ivory?) bead sights , a beavertail forend with Schnabel tip and a straight (no pistol grip) walnut stock. The fore-end is checkered as is the buttstock including the "cheeks" on the buttstock. The shotgun has a single trigger and box lock action with no safety. The satin bluing is almost perfectly intact with the exception of several worn spots just in front of the forend. The color-case hardening on the receiver is somewhat dim and the engraving (a hunting scene with dog on the left side receiver and a game bird on the right side receiver) is intact with fine edges and is not worn. The shotgun has a red/orange rubber butt pad that appears to have a paper-thin leather cover where the butt stock meets the shooter's shoulder.

I am a bit confused because most of the documentation I have read does not mention this model as having a straight-grip stock or as having a hunting motif engraved on the receiver sides. The shotgun appears to rate a solid very good-to-fine condition with no scratches on the metal and very minor marks on the stock.

Your assistance and comments would be most appreciated.

    Thanks you,
