Gary, it is a L.C. Smith Maker of Baker Guns, Syracuse, N.Y. You open the gun by pushing the front trigger forward, on the earlier Baker guns, there was a lever outside the trigger guard for opening the breech. This one is a Quality A, being the lowest priced one. This gun is from around 1881-82.
