Looking for insight on a new acquisition. Just bought a 1925 12 ga Ideal with Beaver Tail Forearm, 28 in barrels, double triggers, extractors and 3 position safety. The automatic safety rod is not there and I can't say if this was factory feature or removed afterwards. I think that the gun was for trap (BT, Ideal, 28 in IM and mod bbls) but why a safety that live at both ends, forward and back) Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Also insight into the 3 position safety would be appreciated. Scott R Nelson
