I have two SBT Smiths. First is a Specialty Grade with 32" barrel. S/N S-13948. It has the more common squared rib posts and a common pistol grip stock. The forend is of the early design (long tubular shape0 with the banjo shaped release.
The second SBT is an Olympic Grade S/N S - 119238 with 32" barrel and same vent posts. Pistol grip stock with the more common forend - schnabel tip and much "fatter" in cross section than the Specialty. The forend release is of the normal banjo shape. Hope this helps! I almost had an Eagle SBT but the "seller" backed out!
