I recently acquired a 2 bbl. set field grade with the goal of making a custom sporting clays gun. Both the 28 and 32 inch barrels have the reinforcing splinter. The 32" barrels are stamped "chambers 3 inches" on the water table. However the bottom of the lug has no wildfowl or Longrange marking. Serial # of the gun is RE75XXX. The gun has a single trigger. This is the first 12 ga. gun I have come across that has factory 3" chambers but no barrel lug stamp. Is this common?
