I concur with the previous posts on this topic. I just had a 1900 00 Grade restored - the full monty - barrels reblued, receiver recased colored, stock and forend refinished and checkering recut, mechanical workings set to factory specs, period recoil pad, etc. The gun looks and shoots beautifully. Did I lose a bit in value? Yes. Yet for me, the gun is to use and enjoy. The range and the field are the discriminator. You will find that having a useful masterpiece is quite rewarding.
