Thanks for the information. Gun appears to be in very nice original condition. I plan to strip, clean and lacquer the case colors. At that time, I'll inspect the stock and if necessary refer to Dave Norin for prevention or remediation. This is my second Smith. So, I need a lot of advise. My first Smith was an early pigeon, that was messed with and had to be sent back.
