Went to a large gun auction in Virginia the other day with the idea of buying a 16 Gauge Fox Sterlingworth (they had two in the auction). What they also had that I didn't really focus on was an L.C. Smith 16 Gauge FWE in the Specialty Grade. 26" barrels that I believe are Mod and tight IC. Gun had almost zero barrel blue and receiver had zero case coloring as well. Serial number indicated it was made in 1924. Lastly, it had the hunter single trigger as well. The good news is the screws are perfect as are the barrels and it appears everything works as it should. Lastly the stock is starting to crack on one side behind one of the sideplates at the end.

To make a long story short I bought it. Now the question is what do I do now. I figure in order of priority is to get the stock repaired and the barrels taken care of. So that will be the first focus. Then I'll figure the rest of it out.

If someone is willing to post a couple of pictures of the gun I'll be glad to send them an e-mail with the pictures attached. PS. First post, someone over on Shooting Sportsman told me about this website.
