Dave, Thanks for the reply. I could not find the answer in the forums. I just acquired a 16 gauge made in 1939. I also have a 12 field FW that was made in 1918. Can't decide what I like better, high or low rib. Now if I see a high rib at the gun shows, I will know that it was made in '39 or later. thanks again
