Charlie, If you are talking about the 3 position safety, it still only has one safety position and that is in the middle. Pushing the safety forward, firing gun and then opening gun, safety will return to middle (Safe) position, moving safety rearward, firing gun, then opening safety will remain in said position. This 3 position safety was a feature that allowed Trap Shooters to leave the safety in the rearward position after reloading and not have to worry about the safety being on Safe when calling for a bird.
