Just a guess here, but since the receiver has obviously been re-cased, I bet that the sidelocks were not installed on the receiver during the process and some significant warping of the sidelocks took place. The locks broke during subsequent straightening right through the weakened plane caused by the screw holes. The functionality of the forward screws has definately been compromised, and without a weld repair, or complete sidelock replacement, I'd say that would keep her out of the shooter line-up.
