has anyone seen an ORIGINAL L.C. with a white line spacer between the black rubber grip cap and the wood. I saw a photo of a gun for sale and it did not look right. It had a Pachmeyer whiteline pad as well, that I assumed was incorrect. Cliff White says that the Marlin L.C's were shipped with the Pachmeyer pad late in the game, but had not seen the white grip cap spacer.
With a later gun like this, you have to wonder if the L.C. Smith Gun Co. may have made a few changes?
Has anyone ever seen no serial number on a forend iron in these later guns?
