    Dom: the good news is that Hunter Arms Company lengthened the 20 gauge chambers from 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" in 1936. It's very likely your gun is well past a good check and clean with a doublegun specialist smith, and that would be the first step. Let us know where you're from and we might be able to recomend someone near you. The smith can also measure the choke constriction.
