Did I read over at the picture trail correctly that there was only ever one 28 ga. made by L.C.Smith?

I haven't bought the book yet but is there a place here in the forum that has production numbers for years w/ grades and gauges? I have been surfing for a while and see up for sale L.C.'s in various conditions on internet auction sites. Some never selling for whats asked, I reason that these are over-priced. It could be that the seller isn't providing to the less knowledgeable info on what makes that particular shotgun worth the amount asked. It seems 20 ga. in any varity is worth more then a 12 ga. Were there less 20's made? Did it vary by year and grade? I hope to gain more knowledge myself about the collecting of L.C.'s from here on the forum. Prior to the internet I bought what was available at local gun shops as I could afford them.(Only passed on one 12ga)

I have already learned that I should not alter my Long Range just sell or trade it for what I want as it seems to be less available then other specialty grades w/3" chambers and therefore more valuable.

I guess when I start to get the newsletter I'll run an ad asking for options.

Anyone care to fill in some of my curiosity.
