    Bob,
    Someone had taken 5/16"-32 Allen head cap screws and was going to make his own.
    The thread size is 32 tpi and the od. is .307. So if you can find a Grade 2 bolt in 5/16"-32 you would be fine.
    The captive screw are 8-32 according to Brophy's book. They are called "firing pin check screw" if I am looking at the right thing. They are made of soft steel.

    The captive screws in one that I have looks to be made of copper. Maybe it's beryllium copper as copper itself is too soft.
