Hello Craig, What David is explaining is how to test the guns barrels and chokes. If you want to test for the shotguns point of impact when YOU, YOURSELF shoot it from your own shoulder then that is a completely different procedure. You probably want to do both ! Test the barrels and the patterns and then determine the POINT OF IMPACT when you yourself shoot this shotgun. POI test firing is done at 16 yards from the muzzle to the paper target. Then you can use a certain formula to calculate how much you need to alter the butt stock to get the POI where you want it to be. Jent
