    I have not seen any gun with that. I enlarged picture until it started to distort, and in looking at the diamonds, they are inlayed along the lines of the checkering, nice and neat. Naturally the circles have to cut into the checkering. Can't tell if it is wood or ivory as it looks to have a coat of finish on them.

    My opinion is that the forend is re-checkered because the top of the triangle near the ebony tip, the points do not line up.
