I recently was given an old LC Smith Shotgun, a 12 gauge, side by side barrels with hammers and two inline triggers. The barrel appears to be twisted steel in its construction and the words "Hunters Arms" are on them. The Serial number is 55167. The gun appears to be in very good condition other than faded bluing and the but plate is broken. I have been told that re-bluing will diminish the value, should I replace the but plate? if so where can you find parts?
