Companies providing free polls receive their income from the advertising. Those providing a commercial poll service are a little pricey for us ($200 to $400 a year). I've set my computer to not allow pop-ups. I use Internet Explorer, and the pop-up blocker is located under "Tools." I imagine that other browsers have a similar option.
