    variations in engraving Archived Message

Does anyone have any information about the gun pictured in Brophys book on pg. 96 and 97, top pictures on both pages?

The gun in question is a Crown Grade with drastically different engraving than the standard engraving one would find on a Crown Grade. I am compiling info for an article and would like to obtain some good pictures of that engraving style.

For that matter, I would love to hear from anyone who has a gun that has engraving that deviates from the accepted "normal" engraving pattern. Any help and or leads would be appreciated. I am not looking to buy, just to document interesting variations sometimes found on graded Smith guns. Thanks in advance...
