    Tom,
    Congratulations on you newer gun.
    If one inch was removed then the chokes would be gone. They are listed as the bores being parallel for one inch.
    In order to save what you have, you can try different loads and see if you get any tighter pattern.
    For shooting 25 yards I would say that what you have now would be nice for skeet, woodcock, grouse and quail.
    Very possible that if you talk to Mike Orlen that he might be able to thread the ends for choke tubes, providing there is enough "meat" there.
