    Syracuse Baker Type L.C. Smith Archived Message

    I was at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum in Canyon, TX yesterday. They have COL Charles Goodnight's L.C. Smith. It is SN: 7280 C. The old gun is well used. I found it interesting the most famous cattleman in the Texas Panhandle owned an L.C. Smith.

    I saw in the book that there are no records from the period these guns were built and the number built has been extrapolated from existing guns. The SN is in the known range.
