    Non-rebounding locks Archived Message

I'm probably showing my ignorance here, but is it true (as it appears to me)that the Smith hammerless lock is non-rebounding? When snapped on a hardwood block with the barrels off I can detect no movement back of the firing pins even when the pressure is let off the triggers and the trigger return springs move back into battery. When the gun is manually cocked before reassembly the pins retract and are loose. All my Smiths have grooves milled into the extractor/ejector plates to accomodate the protruding firing pins upon opening the gun. Just wondering.
