MarkOue, In reading catalogs of that time period, 10 ga. and 12 ga., were the only guages available along with either 30" or 32" barrels. The catalogs also referred to ordering a heavier weight at no extra charge and "multiplied choking" that shot "close and hard" at no extra charge also. In some of the research that the late Russ Ruppel had he listed a few cut barrels, guns that were sent back and re-barreled, and something that I thought was very interesting, one gun that was ordered a Quality 3 16 ga. with 26" barrels, serial number 18,255. Was it sent back to Fulton and re-barreled with the old serial number? Were the frames smaller by then?
So even though the catalog states 30" and 32" barrels who is to say that you couldn't get shorter ones. If only some of these guns could talk.
