On July 2nd a Monogram Grade Single Barrel Trap gun ran 100 straight in Event 1 of the 2008 Virginia State Trapshooting Tournament held at the Winchester Gun Club. It was helped along by Tom Breeden. Certainly, it was not on a par with the old records in which these guns won Grand American events but I am happy to prove they can keep pace with any modern gun. I am not tooting my horn; I'm just pleased to get the publicity for the LC Smith gun and our Association. As in all of these tournaments they wanted to take a picture of a winning entrant for Trap & Field magazine but I told them I wanted the gun in the picture. So they obliged and then wanted to know more about the gun that generated about a half hour discussion about its merits compared to today's guns. If Trap & Field prints the club's submission we'll get the LC Smith Collectors Associaton mentioned in their publication about August or September.
