I have an old hammer gun that I'd like to date. It appears to be early, however has the second type hammer and has Royal Steel barrels. Looks like a special order.... as in the most inexpensive version to shoot...and sell.... SS1967 non-checkered stock....no pat. dates. Only markings on the gun are as follows: On the top of rib, between barrels.... Hunter Arms, Fulton, etc... On the bottom of each barrel.... C....4...10....A..... All parts match with ss number....Side plates are case hardened.....no etching....L. C. Smith imprinted. Could be a 10 guage.....looking for my calipers....12 guage shells are a little sloppy in the chambers. 30" barrels. Please help. captnaz at hot mail dot com
