Banjo Escutcheon colors Archived Message Posted by Jack B on July 4, 2008, 9:31 am John Houchins L.C.Smith book "The Legend Lives" shows that the banjo escutcheon on the forend of high grade guns were case colored. The release wheel,in some of the pictures, appears to be niter blue. Does anyone know if the wheel on these guns was originally blued or case colored?
