What Do I Have? Archived Message

I inherited an L. C. Smith, 20 gauge, shotgun from my maternal grandfather. I do not know precisely how old it is. He died in 1956 and had had the gun for at least 10 years prior to that.

Cosmetically, it is in fair to poor condition. Mechanically, it is sound. I would like to have it cleaned up by a gunsmith so my youngest can use it for birding and shooting clays. Does anyone see anything wrong with that? Should it not be re-blued? To what extent should I go to make it visually presentable? Thanks.
