Christian, Like the name (my son's). How do you know it is from 1888? The reason I ask is because if you look lower, there are a few posts about this discussion. I believe it is from the late second quarter to early third quarter of 1887. Grade 2 actually Quality 2 was the lowest grade (cheapest $80.00) available. Having 2 barrels is unique, they were only offered in 30" or 32" (statement in catalog, but who knows). Condition is everything. Re-conditioned to look like new doesn't help, but it sure looks nice. It's hard to put a price on something you can't handle, but with the extra barrel, so long as it hasn't been modified, would bring more. Blue Book of Gun Values 26th Edition, 10% condition $300. 80% condition $1450.00. 80% condition is/was a "closet queen" for most of it's life. Good luck and post some pictures of it
