Thomas, lucky you, you have one of nine made for the Rochester Ordnance from between May 9, 1942 through April 9, 1943. Is it chambered for 3" and does it have the re-inforced splinter on the barrels? If it has 3" chambers it will be written in an oval Chambers 3 Inches on the barrels water table. As for the "W" not sure but more knowledgeable people should help. Good luck and post some pictures of it.
