    Mac, Dr. Bill is right about that, some gun selling people will tell you anything for you to buy but mostly they don't know.
    Most "elsies" came from the factory with the l.o.p. from the front trigger (concave part) to the end of the butt plate at 14"-14 1/8". Now this is standard and you could have the stock made from the factory to want you wanted, but most of the lower grade guns were "hardware store" guns ordered to what the owner thought would sell best.
