    And before anyone starts to wonder how Jason got a line into the Records Office to get this information, it is simple - he paid for it. We will, for a fee and for members only, perform special research into the records. Besides the study Jason requested, we have performed a number of other studies - primarily for various deluxe Winchesters. As we complete these studies, we will (as time permits) publish them in an appropriate medium. The purchaser of the research has that option as well.

    Oh, and a big PS - I discovered the thread concerning John much too late. I have had the pleasure of spending time with him at the Las Vegas Antique Arms Show in January 2007. The hospitality and patience shown this relative newcomer by John, his son Walker, and the members of the Board of the LCSCA were unmatched. He took everyone and everything at face value and wanted nothing more than to share his knowledge and appreciation for the Elsie.

    He will be missed.
