Longrange Wildfowl-internal reciever marking Archived Message

Acquired said gun and upon disassembly noticed an "L" stamped below the rotary bolt. Was wondering if this is a coincidence or would it be a marking for a Longrange receiver. The receivers are supposed to be heftier than a normal Regular frame.

Gun was restocked and a new beavertail forend but not checkered, wrong type butt plate and large grip with checkered grip cap, barrels, receiver, trigger plate, trigger and side plates re-blued.

Bad thing is I noticed that the top lever screw (4-40 thrds) had a larger head (5/16") and that the trigger plate housing was counter bored bigger to accept this head. Upon taking apart screw broke, noticed that when apart someone ground the fit off of the top lever shaft that goes into the trigger plate housing causing a lot of pressure from the top lever spring on the tiny threads. Looking at screw noticed that it had a shoulder that fit into the top lever shaft to keep it in place. Will figure out what to do later. Have a new blank top lever shaft, possibly use a spacer in the trigger plate housing and use the regular screw for it.
Good thing about gun it has 32" barrels mod/full, re-inforced splinter, Chamber 3 Inches in oval, Hunter One-Trigger and ejectors. Circa 1925.

New butt plate and reshaped stock and grip cap, checkered stock and forend and refinished with 16 coats of linseed oil, tung oil, marine spar varnish and japan dryer mix. First time trying this finish and I like it. (Don't know the ratio, just mixed it)
