Bo-Whoop Trophy Event --- L. C. Smiths shoot it for fun! Archived Message

The A. H. Fox Collectors Association previously announced our Bo-Whoop Trophy event to be held at the Northeast Side by Side Classic - May 16-18. Since then the Fox Directors have been urged by many to allow practice shooting at our B-W targets by shooters with guns other than those made by A. H. Fox and the company’s successors.

The Directors have considered this input and have decided that practice shooting at our B-W targets will be accommodated at a reduced price. However, shooters of non A.H. Fox shotguns will not be eligible for our Bo-Whoop trophy nor for the cash purse.

Fox gun shooters will also have the option of shooting practice targets at the reduced price, but only after he/she has completed one round “for score” at the trophy price for member or non member, whichever applies. Such shooters may then practice at the reduced price and re-enter the Bo-Whoop competition as many times as desired at the trophy score pricing. “Practice scores” will not be eligible for the B-W Trophy competition. Also, Fox gun shooters cannot shoot practice targets first and later decide to enter the Bo-Whoop Trophy competition, the first attempt must be at the trophy pricing.

The Fox Directors encourage all participants at the Northeast Side by Side Classic to try our Bo-Whoop targets in this friendly competition. L. C. Smith, Parker, Ithaca, Lefever, etc. are all welcome! Of course the Bo-Whoop Trophy and purse will be reserved for the skillful shooter who is fielding one of Ansley H. Fox’s finest.

All other rules for our Bo-Whoop Trophy event are as originally written. They are shown on the following link. Click on the “Events” tab on the right side of the home page for full details.
