    Here, Here!

This year I was only able to attend the Southern on Friday because of a pressing church commitment. However, the event and the friendly LC Smith/Parker rivalry has got to be one of the finest shooting sports traditions ever. Bill Kempfer does a fantastic job running things at Deep River and our gallant Smith squadron, under the Finch leadership, is a wonderful source of good fellowship.

I also wanted to thank Jim Stubbendieck for letting me shoot the priceless Humphrey Bogart 28 gauge (sic!) Elsie. What an opportunity! Additionally, in the spirit of our comradeship, Bill Winter took the time in his motel room late Friday night to fix a top lever problem that I was having with one of my field grade shooters. I am really proud to be a member of this fine organization.

    John K.B.
