Yeah Mr. Troy, I know the feeling well. I can also identify with Mr. billy as he watched your dad enjoy the somewhat finished product. As a side note to others who might read this post, you'll get a great feeling after your gun comes back to you after being refurbished .... you've given new life to the old girl and she'll be ready to go for a few more generations of family use. All the LC's I own were bought cheaply as they had broken or badly damaged/altered butt stocks. Adding a decent piece of wood gives you not only a good looking stock but one with greater strength. Ken
