Eagle Grades are not very common (somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 Eagles ever recorded as manufactured), but price is also a function of original remaining finishes, options, mechanical condition, etc; so without seeing the gun, we would not hazard a guess as to price fairness. As to a barrel dent, barrel smiths repair such damage on a regular basis; and your description does not indicate the problem on this gun as significant (but have them inspected by a qualified gunsmith anyway). The repair itself requires cutting a steel mandrel the exact same size as the bore, inserting the mandrel inside the barrel to the problem area, then tapping the outside of the barrel to restore the original round contour. This process will leave an external blemish in the blued finish, and the only way that can be repaired is to polish the barrel tube and re-black same using the original slow rust blue process. At the asking price, I would insist that the gun be discounted enough to cover the cost of having those barrels properly repaired and finish restored.
