John: IF the SN is 109896 it's a 1928 Regular frame Automatic Ejector Hunter One-Trigger Specialty (that's the 'S' under the serial number) with an aftermarket pad and front bead. We would need better pics of the rib to decide if it is factory or aftermarket. Beautiful wood, but unable to tell from the pic if it's original. Sounds like the choke has been opened on what was set up as a trap gun, and I would definitely want the bore and choke constriction measured before making an offer. Reamer marks and buggered screws are a real concern-it may look even worse on the inside.
