I have purchsed a 1902 Grade "O" L. C. Smith hammerless shotgun at a reasonable price. The person who did the restoration did a complete bluing including the lock plates, looks nice but I'm sure didn't increase the value. Since the barrels have lost any signs of being Damascus, were all the barrels of this period Damascus. The only thing I see stamped on the barrels are the letters "EH" and possibly a "BD", plus the matching serial number and "O".
