Thanks Skip!! for all the information, I tried to mic the bores and could not get a good reading down in the barrel and they were .408 at the end of the barrel so I will need to have them measured with a choke gage if I can find one, it would be interesting to know how many .410's were produced by Marlin in the 1945 - 1950 era and what the serial number of the last one would be and also hear from other owners of the L.C. Smith .410's Larry
