doublegun specialist in/near Idaho? Archived Message

    Hey Folks,

I live near Twin Falls, Idaho and have a field grade 20 and 12 LC, both from the late 40's. I shoot the 20 ga regularly on phez, chukar, and quail. The 12 ga generally gets shot once a year at an unlucky turkey. Right now, I'm shooting Federal Game Shok heavy field loads. I'm willing to experiment with the killing power of some low-recoil loads, but it looks like that won't happen until next season. Anyway, the point is I plan on continuing to hunt with these guns, but I certainly don't want to damage them. I've learned from this site that I might be doing just that. So, I'd like to take both of them to a gunsmith to have them looked over and potentially have the stocks reinforced (glass bead?). Any recommendations as far as gunsmiths go?
