Thanks Dave. I appreciate your help! I hope that they do, as I have about 6 dozen laying around the reloading bench.
I must say that you are making a good case for me to seriously consider that $995 gun up at Cabela's. It would cost me $100 for Vicknair to go over the gun and $110 to open the chokes. I called Craig and he referred me to Dewey. I'd end up spending that on the 26" barrel gun alone before openiong the chokes and redoing the stock.
This may work out well and I'm not sure a grouse could dodge a 1000-1100 fps, 7/8 oz, 2 1/2" shell! This would save me from having to extend the chambers and buy a case of RST shells.
I found the short kit for my MEC 600 jr. for $29.75 and I have an email into Alliant on powder recommendation so I'll need is what wad to use and I can get started!
