There have been several posts regarding chamber lengths in 20ga recently. I acquired this field grade gun last week, it was made in 1929 and has 26” barrels, choked i/c and full and must have been a special order gun. It is interesting because it has the chamber stamp usually associated with long range guns stamped on the barrel flats. It has 2 ¾” instead of 3” stamped in the center and appears to have been stamped after the chamber stamp. It appears that Hunter Arms was furnishing 2 ¾” 20ga guns at that time at least on special order.
