Hello all. Just purchased my first LC in of all places San Antonio, Tx. Its in great shape. It is a 12 gauge, regular frame, ejector, double triggers, 3 position safety, and all screws are perfect and the barrells and wood are in great shape with about 90% blueing, 30% case color, and good checkering. This gun appears all original with little evidence of rust with normal wear from light use over the years. The sn of 217918 I believe would indicate that it was made in 1914. It has the banjo shaped splinter forend with capped pistol grip and uncut 14 inch lop to black plate. The most impressive thing is the pleasing KERCHUNK sound made when the action is closed. That being said do ya'll (remember I am from Texas) think it would be ok to use light/moderate loads in this gun or should I go ahead and have the stock glassed. If I should , do you know of someone in this area who could do a good job of it? Thanks in advance for your imput.
