Just got my dads old gun. On the triggrt guard is stamped 264 Left side of the mechanism is a pair of snipes in an oval with 9 ducks or geese flying over with L.C. SMITH all lettering the same size. On the right side also pair of snipe in an oval with 5 birds flying over, L.C. SMITH with the right leg of the M and the T extending below the rest of the name. HUNTER ARMS CO MAKERS FULTON N.Y. CROWN STEEL printer on the top between the barrells. on the bottom of the barrell stamped 2648 with an almost unreadable AM 7 9 (?) on the action is atamped PAT'D Mar.29,83 July.13,86 Oct.5,86 and 2648 on the Forearm is stamped 2648 and I believe PAT'D June.1,80 the zero almost looks like a backwards C Also there is no safety.
