I have a Field Grade double hammer 12 gauge in excellent mechanical shape with clean bores. Both barrels are marked Royal Steel. Serial number is 176899. I know this is a fluid steel gun and I have shot it with 2 3/4 inch magnum turkey loads with no ill effect to me or the gun but got to wondering if maybe those loads might be a little on the heavy side. I really don't know anything about Royal steel other than it's not twist or damascus. Any comments appreciated.
